I went to Oregon with Kimberly and her family from Thursday to today. We got back to St. Louis around 3. It was a fun trip, not the greatest but still fun. We had to stop in Phoenix before going to Portland. Kimberly's parents picked us up from the airport, and we went straight to the hotel. We got settled there and went swimming. Kimberly's Aunt Joanne came over with her husband, Ed, and daughter, Andrea. They went swimming in the hotel while we went downtown to eat. We ate at some restaurant in the "Alphabet District." It wasn't that good. The service was bad, and the food wasn't that good. The downtown area was so neat. It just had a bunch of tiny shops that had been houses. The apartments down there were neat too. After that, we went back to the hotel and went to bed. On Friday, we went to Joanne's house and got a tour of that. We left to go to Seaside, OR where we were staying by the beach for two nights. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to get there. The house wasn't actually on the beach, but it was still nice. Kimberly, Bobby, Katie, and I had to sleep in a room with 2 bunkbeds. Rend ended up sleeping in the room with us also. Bob and Kathy had another room, and Joanne and Andrea had the other. We walked to the beach which we thought was a couple blocks away but ended up being a couple miles away! I was so excited though to see the ocean. We went to the outlet mall in the afternoon and bought tickets to see "The Village" later that night. Kimberly and I decided to stay at the beach house and make macaroni while the others went to a pizza place. Kimberly and I couldn't find any pots so we decided we would cook the macaroni in a tea kettle (I know, we're not that smart). It didn't work out too well. The macaroni melted onto the bottom of the tea kettle. It was so funny. We went to see "The Village" which was the close to being the dumbest movie I've ever seen. The good thing was that the refreshments at this movie theater were so cheap! I wanted to buy everything on the menu just because of the prices. After that, we went home and went to bed. The next day (Saturday), we went to KFC for lunch and went to the beach again. Katie and Bobby rented wet suits and boogie boards. We watched them for a little bit then Kimberly and I decided to go shopping. We had some stalkers in this one store. They were creepy boys. We bought some shirts from the little boys section of a different store, but they were only $10. It's so weird that they don't have sales tax up there. After, that we did such a fun thing. We rented this bicycle-type-golf cart thing. It's hard to describe, but when Kimberly and I were driving it to the house, I squirted a little because we had to keep pulling over to let cars go by us. When we got the house, everyone wanted on it. It was so much fun. We had it for an hour so we went all around the town. We wanted to go through a drive-thru, but Dairy Queen didn't have one. It was great! That was a really fun part of the trip. Later that night, we all went out to eat to this bar and grill. It was really good. After that, we did some more shopping. I bought a sweatshirt from the same store I bought my t-shirt from. After the shopping, we went home and made S'mores. The next day, we went to Church and then got ready to leave to go back to Portland. When, we got back there, we took a little nap, and then went to Joanne's work so she could look at Katie's ear. We also went to the mall downtown. It was really neat. It was divided into 3 buildings and was 4 stories high. After that, we went to see where Ed works and then went to meet his parents. They were the cutest people I'd ever met. They're from Italy so their accents are very strong. It was so funny. When we left their house, we went to the hotel where we said our goodbyes to Joanne, Ed, and Andrea. We went swimming after that. We wanted to go to bed early because we had to wake up at 5 the next morning for our flight, but somebody was out in the hall talking . . . Anyway, this morning, we went to the airport and what not. I was just ready to come home. Overall though, I had a good time. I'm glad I went. Well, I'm going to go for now. I think I wrote a little too much.
